Also the engine has 16 valves and twin swirl combustion chambers, which is essential for placid operation. Physical Vapor Deposit (PVD) method of ion plating increases the lifetime and performance of the piston rings and also decreases friction and oil consumption. Like other Suzuki sportsters, GSX1300R also has Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) by which rider is able to change the engine parameters depending upon the climate and environment factors. The digital instruments like speedometer, tachometer, and fuel level and water temperature along other indicators are bunched up into a single frame. The cylinders, coated with SCEM (Suzuki Composite Electro-chemical Material), features the improved heat dissipation and minimal size. The six speed transmission with advanced slick shifting technology has the advantage of smooth clutch transitions and controlled gear shifts. The main feature of the Hayabusa GSX1300R is the sleek aerodynamic design and muscular bodywork. With twin front disc brakes and a single rear disc brake, the GSX1300R has prominent braking efficiency in all conditions.
